acquired this 928S last year and have spent a lot of time and money debugging it
from all the niggly little things that go wrong with the them. But we’re
running out of space and unfortunately I have some health issues so it has to
go, hopefully to someone who will appreciate its originality. The previous owner
had it for the last twenty years. He spends most of his time overseas and got
back last year after spending ten years away. Before he went away in 2004 he
spent about $2500 on the injectors. Since then it had done virtually zero miles
so he had a Brisbane Porsche specialist work on it. We have a pile of receipts
(about $6500) for the following: Timing belt, pulleys and tensioner Cam roller
bearings & gaskets Water pump Alternator & belt Engine front seal kit Bonnet
struts Boot struts Front & rear shocks Front & rear bump stops Steering wheel
Battery Windscreen When I met the owner he had just obtained a new five year
contract in Europe so, rather than put the car into storage he sold it to me.
This was late last year, just before Christmas, and we have only done about a
thousand kilometers in it, spending most of our time fiddling around with it,
getting spares from overseas and generally fixing all the little things that
make a car good to drive.
